The Latter Age

Behold! My heartbreaker homebrew ruleset, inspired by the works of Gene Wolfe and Jack Vance.

The Latter Age is an adventure roleplaying game that emphasize exploration, discovery, and creative problem-solving. Daring tales of foes vanquished, secrets uncovered, and treasures plundered will emerge as players quest across vast, ancient, and strange realms.

The Latter Age blends elements of classic fantasy and science fiction; knights in shining armour brandish charge lances, wizards wield long forgotten technologies like magic, and monsters, mutants, and alien beings are one and the same. The world is filled with the ruins of countless civilizations that are layered one atop the other, forming an inscrutable archaeological strata; medieval towns are built upon sealed vaults of ancient technologies, and the ruins of megacities have become one with the terrain, forming peculiar mountain ranges and labyrinthine cave systems. At each turn there is the opportunity for glory, riches, and death.
